I have a Nikon D3''' since December. I started shooting RAW almost since the beginning and I edited some of my pictures with ViewNX, which came with my camera.
I find slow and with a bad interface. These days, I'm trying Lightroom 2.7 and it is far better, but there is a little problem. Last Sunday I shot a musical in a theatre and I had to raise the ISO, in order to keep shutter speed fast enough. Obviously the pictures have high noise. Opening them in ViewNX I see them as they appeared on my camera's LCD, but in Lightroom noise is much greater. It's as if ViewNX embeds the in-camera noise reduction in the preview, while Lightroom not. Moreover, even cranking Lightroom's noise reduction up doesn't make the noise appear as in ViewNX.
What can I do?
