I had a problem with 14.2 concerning flags and colour labels which appeared after a minute or so instead of instantly which seemed resolved after a reboot.
Today flag and colour labels are again sluggish and I can't export!! Nothing happens when I click export. I have rebooted again which has not helped. Yesterday all seemed fine and the computer hadn't been switched off in the meantime. I have never had this kind of problem before but this is unworkable right now. Urgent help if possible - I really need to get stuff out tomorrow latest. Thanks in advance!

If a new problem crops up just after an update, the first thing to rule out is an installation issue

Clean Lightroom Install Procedure
Close Lightroom
Restart the computer
Use the Adobe Creative Cloud App to uninstall Lightroom
Restart the computer
Install Lightroom via the Creative Cloud App without launching any other programs.
Restart the computer
Launch Lightroom
Wait 5 minutes

I went with option one - uninstall and re-install following instructions to the letter. NO CHANGE in the behaviour. Still can't export - nothing happens - no list of export options - unless I right click on the images then I see them but still can't export. Still very sluggish behavious with flags and colour labels. I'll try a roll back to 14.1 and report back. Am I correct in thinking I do NOT uninstall before doing the roll back to 14.1 - it isn't mentioned in the instructions.

Followed instructions to roll back to v14.1.1. which has been working perfectly - ever since that version was released. NO CHANGE to this weird behaviour.

I'm also noticing now that the folders in library view are not showing the number of pics in each. I've had this before once and cured it by deleting cat_name_helper - I've tried this again - could this be related somehow?

That could account for problems with displaying flags and color labels. But I think it's much less likely to account for your export issues.

After deleting it and restarting LR, does that cure the problem with flags, color labels, and numbers of photos in folders?

I left the programme running all night - and this morning it is back to normal functioning properly. I have no idea what was going on.
