Hello, I just successfully migrated my photos and Lightroom catalog to a new computer (yeah!). I keep a logical folder structure, for example: \2018\London May\London May RAW. I place all my RAW photos in the subdirectory "London May RAW", process them and then export the JPG to the directory "London May". When I now look at my Lightoom library, if "London May RAW" has 100 photos, then Lightroom shows "London May" as also having 100 photos, even though the folder is actually empty. Any idea how to change that so that it shows 0, as it used to show before migration to the new computer? Thank you and great site, by the way.

Folder counts include images in sub-folders so those 100 are the ones in your London May RAW subfolder. Since the parent does not show 200, I assume you did not import the JPG's back into LR. If you don't want the count on, say, "London May" to include images in sub-folders (e.g. "London May RAW") , click the teeny tiny down arrow just to the right of the "+" sign on the "Folders" panel title bar and un-check "Show Photos in Sub Folders"

You are the best Califdan, thank you, I knew it was just a simple thing but could not find it. So many things to find in Lightroom!
Alex
