I noticed this blog about a (interesting) change in Google Images.
It's about what IPTC fields to use in Photo Mechanic. Can we use this new feature of Google images with Lightroom Classic also?

The Image License in Google Images is in Beta. There will be two ways for Google to display the licensing information. One is "structured data", which is (mostly) in the coding. The other is from the metadata in the IPTC fields. The following link to the Google doc about this describes in much more detail how this is all likely to work. Metadata will be easy for Google to access. PhotoShelter has also been posting about this, as well, to insure its members are set up correctly.

I believe this change is partly the result of negotiations with Getty Images, which has sued Google in the past. Many organizations and individuals have been tussling with (and suing) Google for years about what some of us feel is an abusive misuse of intellectual property (not just photographers, but also writers, illustrators, all kinds of creators of intellectual property), so it's nice to see some progress on Google's part. I hope this process continues to proceed in a way that protects, even promotes, photographers' rights to their intellectual property.

Here's the link to Google's doc: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/image-license-metadata
