are the left and right arrows in the develop filmstrip not meant to move image selection left and right ?

If not why not?;)

EDIT: scrap that it does work now that I jumped to Library and back to Develop - .................bug???

Left and right arrows.... you mean the ones on the keyboard, or the ones on the top of the filmstrip?

Sorry -yes - on keyboard

I'd guess you maybe had another tool selected - maybe the crop tool, something like that?

- that's a possibility I guess:shock:

Simon, with other tools selected (e.g. crop, etc.) try ctrl-arrow. That'll move to next/previous image. (or whatever ctrl is on Mac, CMD?)

Thanks BraD if it happens again I'll try to remember that - at ;east it will tell me whether Im in crop mode or similar

How long have I been using photoshop? At least 5 yrs with enough understanding not to get stymied by situations like when a command refuses to happen because I've selected an invisible layer or something - does that stop me wondering what the hell's going on - needing several long seconds before the penny drops? Nope:roll:

Lord knows how long it will be until LR becomes second nature - I mean it's not even like riding a bike or driving a car is it - don't use it for a week and it's like Im back at square one - so I have to assume use error until proven otherwise.
