Keywords from Bridge to Lightroom

Hello - I'm new to lightroom

How do I import my keywords from Bridge to Lightroom or more importantly where is the Keyword file in Bridge.

Currently using mac os1'.4 LR 1.3 and Bridge 2.1.1.9

It has been awhile since I have used Bridge, but it should be writing the key words to XMP or can be asked to and when you import LR will get them, if inages are already in LR GO to Metadata menu and read metadata from file.

The keywords are written into the xmp files. If you apply all of the keywords that you want to import to an image and import it into LR, then the keywords will come with it.

That's an interesting name!

So just explain what you're hoping to do? Is it keywords that are already attached to images that you're wanting to import into LR from Bridge, or have you already set up a keyword structure in Bridge that you want to import?

If you've got a keyword structure in Bridge that you want to send to LR, open the keywords panel in Bridge and go to the little flyout menu. You'll find Export in that menu, which will export the keywords to a text file. You can then go to Lightroom and use Metadata menu > Import Keywords to import them into LR. Is that what you had in mind?
