I am not sure if this is the right place.
[Mod Note: Not exactly, but close enough. :) I've moved the thread to a more appropriate forum]

But this is the problem.
After searching for my images without keywords, i want
to give them keywords, thats why i search for them in the first place.
But of course Lightroom remove them from the search after one keyword attached.
I could make a colection of the hole bunch of images and work it from their.
But that is not how i wanna use Lightroom, give me a button ore something to turn of the filter when i am adding keyword.

Anybody out there, that no about a trick Here?

Welcome Kai. What version of lightroom are you using? It is possible to apply more than one keyword using the a filter, but it is slightly different on newer or older versions.

My initial thought for an easy solution, would be to do your search, select all, and hit B to add to Quick Collection. Then go to the QC and you can add keywords to your heart's content without the pictures disappearing.

Thank you all for your help.
The problem is when i choose the suggested keyword in the box, in the left panel. Then my images disappear, this must be something the developers of Lightroom must have neglected.
I no there is many ways around, but Lightrom is not made for making ways around :-)
When i search for images without keywords, it is because i want to add keyword to it. And that means using the suggested keywords also.
As it is no, i cant use this option too tag my images when i use the search option.
Is there something i have missed here?

It's doing exactly what you've told it to do... but try this...

Search for images without keywords
Select all
Press B to add to Quick Collection
Press Ctrl-B / Cmd-B or select the Quick Collection from the Catalog panel.
All of your photos that you now wish to keyword are now in the Quick Collection and they will stay there until you choose to remove them from the Quick Collection, even if you add new keywords or use suggested keywords.

Thanks for your help.
Lightroom allows me to add keywords the normal way.
After i have search for images without keywords.
I just enter as many keywords i want in the keyword field.
After i have pressed enter the highlighted images disappear.
That is how it is supposed to work. And that is fine.
But why cant i add keyword with the suggestion panel?
If you try to use the suggested keyword panel, (the box under the place where you can add the keywords), you can only add one keyword and the images disappear.
I do a search every day to find images without keywords.
Making a collection every time, seems to me not as fast that i want this to be.
So any more suggestions on this, is it just me wanting something that just not is there?

Hello Mark.
When you are in smartcollection, ore in the search for images without keywords. The images disappear when i use the little box with keywords. It only shows the image that don't have keywords, so of course when you add keywords the image disappear. But you can tag the selected images with keywords, it is when you hit enter the images disappear. My problem is that when i hit one off the keywords in the box, the selected images disappear. It means that i just are abel to tag that one keyword.
I hope you understand my problem.

In this situation you can't click on the presented keywords, as you have found out. You have to type them into the 'Click here to add keywords' text space. It does auto complete, so it can work rather quickly, an as Mark says, you use commas between keywords. This is how I work when using that Smart Collection. This is why I asked which version of LR you are using.

Ah, I thought you were talking about the text entry box, not the click boxes. In that case, use Victoria's suggestion -- work in the Quick Collection instead of the Smart Collection.

Also, how about submitting a feature request for a checkbox to disable automatic updating of smart collections, for this very reason? Others have asked for it, but the more who suggest it, the more likely it is to get implemented.

Thanks Don, i use the latest Lightroom2.2. It should be rather easy to add something to switch off the auto completed. Because in that way i could have used the presented keywords. The fastest way must be, A: search for images without keywords B: Add keywords in the fastest way, and that should be using the presented keywords.
Is there soe way to tell Adobe about this?

Hello Mark, you got it right.
My work flow is like this, i first started with a smartcollection for all my
images without keywords, that is great by the way!
Then all my untagged images goes in there.
Then when i want to tagg them, i got this problem that i cant use the
presented keyword option.
In that way the smartcollection and the presented keyword don't work
together.
What is the best way to tell the guys in Adobe about this?

Hello Sam, there shouldn't be any reason to add any
"notjetkeyworded" ore similar. Its so easy to make a smartcollection
And have a rule that says anything not key worded ends here.
The best thing is that you will never have to wonder where the
images that are not yet tagged with keywords are.
They will always be in that smart collection.
So thats way i want to tagg my images there, in the smartcollection.
I have send t a feature request to Adobe about this.

Hello Brad, good all days was way before my time:)
Luckily tings have changed since then!
I have just used Lightroom for 7 weeks, and i just love it.
i was stuck t in a bad work flow with capture one for many years. Luckily i saw the light, in means Lightroom.

I bit of yes and no to that one. I should have explained that I like to add 'global' keywords to a 'job' on import (I use DownloaderPro) and, therefore, my import template contains, inter alia, the keyword 'NoKey' by default. My Smart Collection just looks for NoKey which I delete from images when finished. Colour me old-fashioned!
