Just discovered jfriedl Facebook export plugin is dead

For several years I've been using Jeffrey Friedl's Export to Facebook plugin to post photo albums on FB. I found it was superior to Facebook's own plugin in a number of ways.

But as of August 1, 2018, it no longer works, because FB decided to kill the API it used.

Bah fooey.

Have you updated to the latest version? He updated the Facebook API back in April. That may solve your problem.

Desktop apps can no longer post photos directly to FB. Not Adobe's fault, not Jeffrey's.

FB is pretty clear in various blogs relating to the API changes that these changes were made to protect user privacy. they were also responding to the Cambridge Analytica and other hacker/Russian troll issues. Спасибо, товарищ Владимир Владимирович.

Nah, that was an excuse. Not allowing desktop apps to post images is about control, or losing it....
