hi

Is there a way to transfer the data in my iView 'People' field to the Lightroom keyword field?

I want to have them in a heirachical mannor so it doesn't get mixed up with the other keywords

Tim

E.g.

car
cat
people
.........Tim
.........Jane
house
dog

Yes. From the Make Menu choose Text Data File. Make sure PEOPLE is the only field on the right of the dialog. Save it out to a txt file. Now open the txt file and make sure that People is first. Then for each entry below people put one tab in front. If the export strings them together like Tim, Jane then take away the comma and insert a return so you wind up with a file that looks like this (where ... represents a tab character):

People
...Tim
...Jane

Save the file. Now in Lightroom in the Library module choose Metadata and then Import Keywords. Choose the file you just saved and it will import them hierarchically.

Thanks for the quick response

I have used the people field in iview and synced the annotations to the jpg files. I need a script to transfer the data in the people field to the keywords and append >person on the end so appears heirachical in lightroom. is there a script for this?

i have multiple people per image....

E.g.

Tim>person
Julie>person
