Issues With My Brushes

I'm currently running LR 2.5 on my Mac. It has run fine since I installed it (back in about June) but recently I have been having trouble with my brushes. I can create a brush but once I'm done with my initial edits no circular tab appears to allow me to see where the brush is; i.e. I can create a brush, but once I close the brush I cannot go back and reedit anything. The circular tabs work fine with gradients and spot removal, it's just my brushes. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum. Have you tried shortcut "H" to show/hide the control points?

Welcome to the forums Jubano!

And the other useful shortcut associated with this is "O" to show/hide the painted area overlay. "Shift-O" change the overlay's color...
