Lightroom 7.x to Lightroom 9.4
Operating System
Windows 7, Windows 10
I have copied most of the files and stored them in a holding folder on my new computer.
Following the instructions in the eBook Moving to a New Computer,

Issue 1

I cannot find this:
Custom Profiles—includes creative
profiles (newer xmp format), which are
shared with ACR (subscription only).
¶¶ Windows—C:\ ProgramData \ Adobe \
CameraRaw \ Settings

I do not have a C:\ProgramData \Adobe\CameraRaw\Settings
I have C:\ProgramFiles\Adobe\..... but this folder does not have a CameraRaw folder

Issue 2

Chapter 5 says

TRANSFER THE FILES
Transfer all of the files to the new
computer—the catalog, the photos,
preferences and so forth—and if possible,
place them in the same locations as they
were on the old computer (or the equivalent
location, if you’re moving cross-platform).

Chapter 6 then says

Install Lightroom

How do I transfer the files and place them in the same locations from the old installation before I have installed Lightroom on the new computer?
Shouldn't it be
Step 1 - copy old files and folders and store them in a temporary folder on new computer.
Step 2 - Install Lightroom on new computer
Step 3 - transfer the files and folders from the temporary folder on new computer into the new installation of Lightroom

Thank you for any and all help!

They could go in C: \ Users \ [your username] \ AppData \ Roaming \ Adobe \ CameraRaw \ Settings instead. Any folders that don't exist, just create them in the right place.

We've done it that way round because the installation puts some default files in the Camera Raw and Lightroom, and some people get worried about overwriting them. You could do it that way round if that's more comfortable for you though.
