Issues with LR and Leopard?

Hello again,
You folks were so helpful with getting me started on my LR migration to my new computer! However, I have spent the afternoon using every transfer mode I can think of, and every way to open a file I know, to no avail. The LR catalog, when double clicked, brings up a box that says it can't find the library, and when I search manually, there is nothing I can choose that works.
Then, a revelation. Issues with Leopard, perhaps?
I shut down my Lightroom, then I copied my catalog to my husband's machine, and cabled it to my external HD, where my photos reside. Double click, and-BAM!-there is my catalog, library, everything, in all its glory.
So. Any thoughts on how I can get my catalog to work on my laptop?

Here it is:
Lightroom Library was not found.
The Library at location (/Users/Kim/Pictures/Lightroom/Lightroom Database.lrdb) could not be found. Would you like to locate a Library or create a new one?
It gives me three buttons: Create new library, quit, locate library.

Also, in case this makes a difference, the icon for the catalog took on a different appearance once it copied onto the new Mac. It becomes a gray rectangle, with the word "exec" at the top in green letters.

So is there a file called "Lightroom Database.lrdb" on your system somewhere? If you click Locate and navigate to it, does that work?

If not, you need to copy that file over to your new computer. Or if you've already copied it but that's not quite the right name, just double-click on the file in the Finder and Lightroom will open it for you.

Could you put a screen shot of that up please........

Morning,
Thanks for your prompt replies! I am really stumped by this one.

First, in answer to Mark:
The only "Lightroom Database.lrdb" that Spotlight can locate on my new system is in a folder I created that is affiliated with my original corrupt database. I double clicked on it to see if it would actually open, which it did not.
When my first catalog died, I just put the corrupt catalog and db into a folder within the folder they were originally in. That was about 8 months ago, and I have had no trouble or conflicts at all in LR with the new catalog I created from scratch, since I had not been backing up before the corruption. Yes, a very hard lesson learned, especially since I know better....
I was hesitant to permanently delete the corrupt catalog for fear of unintentionally tossing something that was vital.

Kiwigeoff: Here are the screenshots.
Thank you both for your assistance!

Kim, you need to be searching for .lrcat files not .lrdb files.

There are 2 LR catalogs on my old machine. The corrupt one, as noted previously, and the current one, which works fine on the old machine. When I double click on the new one, on the old machine, it works like a charm.

When I copy that working catalog, and drop it onto my new Mac, the icon changes into the grey rectangular icon with the words "exec" at the top, and I get the response from the Mac I noted in my previous post. When I copy that catalog onto a different Mac with Tiger rather than Leopard, and double click on the icon (which has not changed appearance), it opens and works like a charm.

I hope this information helps!
Thanks for your help.

Have you attempted to import your 'suspected corrupt' catalog into a new catalog? Create a new empty catalog and select import from catalog. Select your 'suspect' catalog. Will Lightroom import it?

I don't think I tried that when the catalog came up as "corrupt" last November. I will give that a whirl later, when I am back home. If it is able to be imported, then at least I could rescue the edits that I lost when that catalog crashed.
Thanks.
