Sync Issue with Keywords syncing between Classic & CC

Lightroom Version
Lightroom Classic version 9.3 & CC version 3.3
Operating System
Windows 10
I primarily use Classic, but I have been trying to utilize the Sensei based facial recognition in CC to batch tag photos and find myself running into an issue with keywords syncing.

This is a new catalog and I am able to add a keyword or person keyword to a photo in each program, but even though sync is on there is no syncing of the added keywords between programs.

Any suggestion as to what might be going on?

Well, that pretty much shuts down that thought process. Thanks for the info.
