Hello everyone,

I'm trying to import some photos I selected in Bridge (74) to LrC but LrC imported just 20 photos. Is not the first time happening something like this. Of course these photos are not already in the LrC catalog.

I tried now to import 44 photos from a different folder and I can see just 14 photos selected in the LrC import window.

I'm doing this operation with drag&drop. Now I tried to open with ACR in Photoshop and it's opening also 20 photos. The only way to open all 74 photos is using ACR directly from Bridge..
So, I labeled 74 photos with Bridge and I want to import just these 74 photos in LrC. How can I do it?

You need to use the Import dialog. I don't think LrC intended to use drag and drop for import. It does not sound like you have been importing using the LrC import dialog.

FWIW, you do not need Bridge or ACR since all of the processes are included in LrC.

You can certainly drag and drop into Lightroom - dropping launches the Import dialog with those photos selected.

I’m not near my computer right now, but whenever I do this I think I always drop into the Library grid (IIRC not Loupe or filmstrip ) or onto the dock icon.

Photo Mechanic used to advertise the drag and drop option... ie do selects in PM and drag selects to Lrc and did use that myself at one stage.

I do recall the possibility that you may need to be in Grid view.

I'm not saying that it does not work, I only suggests that it was not intended to be the "go to" means of importing. I don't think the OP has been starting with the import dialog and this is (one of) the reasons for the issue with images not importing.
Your post has done nothing to advance the solution as to why

If I've to import just selected images I can't use the LrC dialog import because I can't see any labels or stars... (this is another thing Adobe should work on).

Maybe I found a bug, I don't know. At this point I'll import all the photos inside LrC and I'll select directly from there. Then I'll delete from the catalog all the photos didn't choose.

Thank you Cletus.

The general idea is that you import everything into LrC. There you assign ratings and labels. (The same ratings and labels in Bridge). You can then delete the other images if you select. LrC is first a replacement for Bridge to manage all of your images and second a tool to edit the images as you might in ACR.

Well that comment most certainly hasn't. I described exactly how those 74 photos could be dragged and dropped into LR, and that it works as he expected.

What the OP may have missed is that it's important where you drop - onto the dock icon or into Library's central area - in grid or Loupe view. Once you drag and drop properly, all 74 images should be automatically selected in the Import dialog and you can proceed to hit the Import button. In the Import dialog it's possible that he deselected some with the cursor, or with keyboard shortcuts (X), or maybe LR's duplicate detection may be kicking in. But dragging and dropping from Bridge may not be a workflow one would recommend, but it is unlikely to be the reason for some images not importing.
