Right now, after I took some pictures with my iPhone, I have to manually click on the cloud icon (second from right) in LR mobile, to start the upload process from the iPhone to the cloud. Later the pictures will appear on my PC in LightRoom Classic.

Question: Can I configre LR mobile in such a way, that as soon as WiFi is available, it will start the upload to the cloud?

Along the bottom of your iPhone are three icon buttons. You should import using the middle button not the one labeled Device. Doing so will import these to the Adobe Cloud where they can then be viewed in the Lightroom (cloud) portion of the app.

If the image has been imported in Lightroom Mobile, then it should automatically be uploaded to the cloud. Depending on the app settings, Lightroom will upload right away using cellular, or wait until WiFi is available. If you shoot with the Lightroom built-in photo app (see the blue icon in Clee’s screenshot), then each photo you take will automatically be imported in Lightroom. You can also check the ‘Auto Add Photos’ option in Lightroom mobile app settings. In that case photos from Device will also be automatically imported when ‘Lightroom’ is selected at the bottom. Selecting ‘Device’ pauses auto add photos.
