On my 27" iMac in Library mode I cannot see all of the Description field under the IPTC Metadata Tab and it makes it hard to enter text. I am missing 3 or 4 characters on the far right hand side and no matter how much I fiddle with the window or views, it doesn't change. Actually when I look at it now, it is only the Metadata window that is cut off and every field but the description is the only one where I fill text to the right. Is there a fix for this that I am missing?

Thanks,

Rick

Choose "Large Caption" in the drop down. What you type there actually goes into the Description field.

Thanks, I had not used the "Large Caption" and it will be useful in the future. Unfortunately it too has the right hand side cut off. It seems to be an issue with the Metadata window and no other. Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm attaching a small screenshot to help illustrate what I mean.

Just wanted to add that resetting preferences seems to have speeded up Lightroom considerably. It was feeling quite sluggish and now zooming and changing images or modules is almost instantaneous where before there was a small delay.

No one has to my knowledge come up with a reason, but resetting the preferences cures a whole raft of unexplainable problems.
