It appears that several years after Apple introduced Cinematic mode for iPhone videos, Lightroom still does not support them. Is that correct?
I've just discovered that all my Cinematic style videos won't import. It says:

"The video file appears to be corrupted or unrecognizable. We were unable to open the file on disk. "

Is there any way of getting these into Lightroom or do I just have to delete them and stop using Cinematic mode?

Cinematic mode is an editing process that applies a blur to foreground and or background to simulate DoF. As such, I don't believe the output file conform to standard MP4 Specs. as the content contains original data that (I think) can be recovered when edited IN the iPhone editor. Lightroom sees this nonstandard video as a file that does not conform to standard video specs.

I might go on to add that generally LrC does not handle video well at all as it is designed to be a still image editor with the video editing tools missing or very limited. I would not expect to manage these "Cinematic" videos at all in LrC.
