Invisible previews

Hi all I'm having a problem with lightroom. I was using it on the same computer before and it worked fine (info in sig). But when I reinstalled the operating system on my pc and reinstalled the program now when I import (.arw) pictures they come up blank all the previews are blank when click on just one image its blank and when I look at the previews when importing them. It's strange because new pictures and old pictures don't show up nor do jpegs.

Update: When I export the images they show up in other programs fine but they don't show up in lightroom.

Thanks for all the info, as a Mac user I won't offer you any guesses !!
Someone will be along before too long to help you out, maybe longer than usual with the holidays though. In the meantime rest assured that it doesn't sound like anything major.

Hi Lumpy Hippo, welcome to the forum! Great name!

Check your graphics card drivers - that's usually the cause of missing previews. Other thing to check is your monitor profile.

My drivers are all intact as for the profiles I'm not too familiar with them but I'm looking at my display settings and they all seem to be on the system default ah ah ha the very first one wasn't on the system default I changed it back and now I can see the pictures thx everyone I would have never thought of that.
