Intuos 4M - How do I assign LR functions to the Pen & Express Keys

I've just received and installed my lovely new Wacom Intuos 4M tablet.
It's working fine and I'm starting to work with it in LR v2.4

I want to assign Before/After to the buttons on the pen in LR.

I've read the manual - opened up my Windows Vista control panel selected the tablet, the grip pen and Lightroom.

I've set the buttons on the pen to "Application Defined" but don't know what to do next.

Please could someone tell me how to choose and assign these functions to the pen tool and other functions to the Express keys.

Congrats on the new tablet - I LOVE my Intuos 4.

I'm at work now with my Intuos 3 (my Intuos 4 is at home), so the following steps are for the 3 - I believe they are either largely the same or identical, though.

1. Open the application you want to have customized functions for (in this case, Lightroom). [Note, you don't HAVE to have it open, but it makes life easier].
2. Open the Wacom Table Properties program.
3. Click Functions (the express keys) or Grip Pen in the Tool area. You'll have to create custom Application settings for each of these separately.
4. Click the + sign to the right fo the Application area and choose Lightroom (or whatever app you want to customize for), click OK.
5. Change the functions for each of the express keys (if you selected function) or for the pen, if you selected that.
6. Repeat steps 3-5 to continue customizing specific applications for the Functions (express keys) or the Grip Pen.
7. Now, when you select Functions or Grip Pen in the Tool area, you'll see the various programs you've customized it for in the Application area. You can select them to make adjustments if needed.

I have just called Wacom in the UK and they pointed me to a couple of Videos on the Wacom US website which explain how to do it pretty clearly - the crucial thing is to choose "keystroke" (and NOT "Application Defined") and then just type the shortcut in the dialogue box that pops up and give it a name.
