Internal Error When Exporting from LR (all versions!)

Hey All,

Thanks in advance for the help.

When I was using LR 1.', the software spontaneously stopped allowing me to export by any means except using the Export presets that came with the program (which don't do enough for me.) When I pressed Cmd+Shift+E, Lightroom looked like it was going to work, and then it simply did nothing.

In an effort to fix the problem I got LR 2.'. Now when I try to export it tells me:
"An internal error has occurred. ?:': Attempt to get length of boolean value."
I upgraded to LR 2.2 and the problem persists. Any ideas?

Joey, first, Welcome to the Forums.

Are you using any third party export plug-ins? Such as Jeffrey's uploaders, etc. (probably not, I'm guessing, but worth asking)

Have a look at this thread on general trouble-shooting, here. These steps solve a lot of weirdness.

With members using so many system configurations, it's helpful if you tell us more about your environment, both PC wise, and camera filetype wise.

Export plugin would be my best guess too.

Next in line, probably preferences file, and access the export dialog rather than using presets which could be corrupted.

Delete the 1.x preferences as well as the 2.x preferences file, regardless of which version you're using, as 2.x will use some of 1.x's preferences if it can't use its own preferences file.

Thanks a lot, Brad and Victoria.

I have no export plugins installed. The problem is that it won't even let me access the Export dialog box. When I type CMD+SHFT+E, or click on "Export" in the File menu, it gives me the error.
I'm on a Macbook Pro, OS X 1'.5.6; 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB SDRAM. The only file in the new (i.e., LR 2.2) library is an .NEF from a Nikon D3. My LR 1.x library contains around 14,''' images from several different cameras, new and old.

Edit: I've deleted the preferences file and it now works! THANK YOU!!!!
