Installing LR 1.4.1 on a 2nd PC (laptop)

This is probably a qsn asked/answered many times before but I'm new to the forum so struggling....
Anyway, I currently run LR 1.4.1 on a Win XP SP3 desktop. I've just acquired a Win Vista Home Premium laptop. Two qsns:_
1. How do I install on the laptop? From original LR1.' install disk - if so how do I upgrade to 1.4.1?
2. Once done - I want to copy all my photos to the laptop and be able to access on both the laptop and desktop. I assume I copy all the original files/directories to same folders on laptop. Then do an export of the desktop catalog and import on the laptop?

Hi PG, welcome to the forum!

You can download 1.4.1 from Adobe's website, and just enter your serial number into that. No need to install 1.' first.

If you're planning on accessing the files and catalog on both computers, the simplest way is to simply put the catalog and all files on an external drive that you plug into whichever machine you wish to use, but YMMV.
