Incomplete importing of photos

After a recent photo shoot I loaded my SD card to the slot on the back of my Mac to LrC. On several days the photos from early in the AM were present, but none from the afternoon. Never had this problem before. Tried connecting my OlympusOM-D E-M1II directly to computer, but the storage message came up on the camera, but never connected.

Does your camera have one or two card slots. If two, maybe it switched to the second card during the day.

Is your camera clock set correctly? If the AM/PM toggle is wrong, the afternoon images will go into a different folder (assuming you are importing into date-based folders).
