In LR 2.5 Apple finder menu bar retracts

I am running OS X 1'.5.8 and when I loaded LR 2.5 my top menu bar in the finder retracts unless arrowed to.

It there a way to make it stay in the always visible, descended position? ???

Are you talking about the MacOS menu bar? Press Shift-F.
If you mean Lightroom's module picker, click the little gray arrow in the black bar at top center.
