I have exported my library from aperture and am trying to get all my files into Lightroom.

I exported all my masters (with .xmp's for that raw's that those will apply for) for a total of 86''. There were 861' in aperture orginally, not sure where the 1' went, oh well, keeping aperture around for the time when i discover whats missing :)

But then I also wanted my adjusted images so i exported all the versions that have adjustments for a total of 1859, of which 1859 got exported.

So from 86'' and 1859 pictures (total: 1'459) i decided to import all into lightroom.

Lightroom scanned the photos and found 1'32', and is importing 1'32' of them.

Any idea where the 139 photos went(or why lightroom isnt picking them up or importing them)?

Probably duplicates or suspected duplicates, check your import settings to find out if it was checked, I suspect so. If so I would do nothing.

Kiwigeoff,

I appreciate your reply, it wasn't the right answer but it make me look a little deeper. The reimport duplicates was not checked on the import dialogue.

So i decided to seperate the versions and masters as two different imports to see where the #'s dropped. of 1859 versions, 1859 versions were detected by lightroom so we're good there.

of the 86'' masters, 8461 (read 139 less) were detected.

After your suggestion, i looked into preferences where I checked 'Treat JPEGs next to raws at seperate files' which got me to 8594 (6 less from 86'' aperture export, though finders spotlight search shows 86'6 images in the folder i exported to, from the aperture library of 861')

I know I am being a little OCD now, but it's a mystery where these 16 pictures are going, I wish i knew what 16 they are...
