Importing tiff?

I exported 3 bracketed shots to Photomatix and when done, saved to tiff to import back into Lightroom. DIdn't work. I checked that the tiff file is created, but Lightroom wont even import a tiff manually. What am I doing wrong?

Did you save the Tiff as 32 Bit or 16 Bit? Your profile says you are using LR3.2 and that is limited to 16 Bit on Tiff files. You would need LR 4.1RC2 to handle a 32 Bit Tiff file.

Great. So what do I have to do to get this into Lightroom? Do I manually bring up photomatix, and save to tiff32 instead?

You will either need to save it out of Photomatix as a 16 Bit Tiff or convert it in a different program.
Your other option is to upgrade to Lightroom 4.1RC2.

I use the Photomatix LR plugin and it handles the save and the reimport automatically when you close out of Photomatix-provided you allow Photomatix to do the Tone-mapping. Are you saving before the tonemap is done? Perhaps you could outline a step by step of how you get the files into Photomatix, and what you do while there?
