Importing problem (simple one, I think!)

I just updated to LR 1.4.1 and now when I import Cr files from my card (which is in a mounted reader in my computer), LR imports the files under the card name canon 1''--

I've always imported by date and can't seem to get LR to do that---I'm sure I'm just not setting it up right----HELP

I find that I have to type in the date---before it was automatic---LR always chose today's date----is there a way to have it do that again??

It should be taking the dates from the capture dates of the files... isn't it?

Canon1'' seem to be a "Camera generated folder name"...

Go to: Menu -> Edit -> Preferences -> Import (tab).
Option: "Ignore camera-generated folder names when naming folders".
Is the box checked?

OK. This is for folder names not file name. But as it not clear to me if you address a file or folder problem, I tought this was a fine hint to add. :roll:
