Importing of non-image files, i.e. Movies

Please add the functionality to Lightroom to allow it to also import & rename movies. It's too easy to forget to go back & download the movie files after importing images. I'd like to be able to apply the same renaming templates to the movies to save time later.

I'm not asking for the non-image files to show up in Lightroom but only to use Lightroom as a mechanism to import & rename onto my hard drive.

Doug, put in your suggestion using the Bug/Request Feature link in the bar at the top of this page.

Doug FWIW, there a lot of us pushing for this. The more that request it the merrier.

One question.

What would you expect to be able to do with these movies, once they are in Lightroom?

(That's the question for the dog who caught the car he was chasing!)
