Hi all,

There is this thing about importing to PS that really annoys the hell out of me. Every time i import some photos from lightroom to PS, lightroom creates a file on a hard drive ( in this case tiff ). Is there a way to disable that to make it work like Adobe Camera Raw? - meaning, no files created on the hard drive till you save it via PS? Please help

I downloaded the beta version but i cant find this feature, the import dialog box under prefs doesn't seem to have any new features.

I made a mistake, i meant interface under the external editing tab doesn't have any new features. I still don't know how to open it in ps without creating intermediate file. Can anyone provide me with the steps?

If you select an image and hit command(control)-E a dialog pops up telling you about camera raw incompatiblities. Click Open Anyway. You can also right-click and choose Edit in Adobe Photoshop CS3/Open as Smart Object in Photoshop. ACR settings in the LR2 beta that aren't compatible with ACR4 will be ignored when you open files this way. If you want to see your localized corrections in PS, then you'll have to render the file first.

The new 'skip the interim file' functionality only works with CS3, mind.
