I recently upgraded to LR Classic from LR 6. Now when I import from my card reader LR Classic always says "no photos found" because when my Canon formats the card it puts the photos in a sub-directory on the card. Thus I have to click "include subdirectories" when importing. I never had to do this in LR6. Is there a way to make including subdirectories the default setting? I must be missing something obvious (hopefully). Thanks for any help.

Updated info: After some testing this happens when I simply plug in my memory card to the reader and then LR auto-starts. If LR is already running and I plug in a card, the include subdirectories box is automatically checked. Can I get the check box to stay on as default? Again, thanks.

John - thanks for the quick reply.

Update: My Adobe products must have performed an update because now when I import photos from a Canon camera the sub-folders are automatically found and I start download similar to LR6. Problem solved.
