I have been trying to catch up (or maybe the better word is complete) the importation of my 2''8 photos. I had imported some, but left other, random groups out, so now I'm going through the painful process of trying to import what I didn't on the first try.

I keep coming across this- I select a folder to copy/import to LR2. It begins the process, but if just one picture has been imported previously it "appears" to abort the import altogether.

Is this possible, has it happened to others, or am I just not seeing that ALL the photos in a particular group are in the catalog "somewhere", just not where I think they should be?

Thanks,

You are not alone. LR does not seem to give you any choice at this point unlike other copy tools.

I might have actually been right on my second guess. It might be that import was only stopping because ALL of the photos selected were already in the catalog... I'll keep an eye open with it!

Yeah, if some of the photos are already in the catalog, it should warn you, and then carry on importing the rest when you ok it. If all of the photos are already in the catalog, it'll warn you and abort.

You could just synchronize folder if the new pictures are in the same folder as the ones already imported. This will give you a dialogbox to import just the new pictures.
