Hi, guys! I'm new around here! Hope yall can help me.

Here's the thing: I used to have the LR C5 instaled when it started to send me the following ERROR message when importing .JPG and .TIFF files:

“The following files were not imported because they canot be read or the destination folder is not writable” OR still “Could not copy a file to the destination folder because it is not writable” (it only worked fine with .raw)

I tought it was a problem with the version. So I deleted all and instaled the LR CC hoping it would solve the problem. But the same thing is happening again.

I already checked the configuration on my T2i/550D Canon to see if it’s something protecting the file, but there’s nothing PLUS the same problem happens with files that we’re NOT generated by my camera but were downloaded from internet, other câmeras, etc. So it ONLY opens .RAW files.

I also checked for the Importing configurations, but couldn’t find nothing like this.

I’m a bit desperate already! Can anybody PLEASE shed some light on this?

Thank you so much!

The error says it all. There is nothing wrong with the files in the camera, there is a problem with the destination folder. Lightroom does not have the privileges to write the files to that folder. Where is the destination folder?

Johan, I'm not an OSX expert, but would the accent in that file-name cause a problem?

It shouldn't as far as I know, but it may be an idea to use a filename without it and try again.
