Import Issue

I had my original Pictures folder on the main HD. I since moved it to an external HD to save space. Now When I "import photos from disk" they are transferred to the main HD, So basically it is making a copy of the folder. Is there a way to keep the files on the external HD.

Sure! In the Import dialog, you can select where you want the files to go. There's a pull-down arrow which will show you recent selections, or press the Choose button to select a new location.

In looking closer I see I had the choice to copy, but all I wanted to do in import with out copying, but I saw that choice too. Thanks for your help.
