Hi I'm new to this forum, but not to Lightroom. Until a few days ago I was happily using 5.7 but after seeing some of the new masking features available on a friends mac, I bit the bullet and bought a year subscription in the black Friday sales. I imported my old 5.7 catalog and have been importing some new files (add option) when I found that it failed to import 6 of the .CR3 files in the folder. Spent a couple of hours trying different options
a) Optimize catalog and retry - failed
b) convert to dng using standalone converter then import from new folder -ok
c) import missing CR3 files from new folder - ok
I finally figured out that it appears to be because the original folder had a video file (XF-HEVC S YCC422 10bit format).
Moving the video files to a new subfolder and re-importing then worked correctly.
Has anyone else seen this issue as I've never had this problem with 5.7.
