If I import images I have a choice of all my Develop Presets including the Lightroom Preset "General Zeroed" and a "None". You would think that "None" would not apply any Develop Settings or be the same as "General -Zeroed" where all the primary settings are set to Zero. But if I import a DNG with the Develop Setting set to "None", the image shows up in Develop (and I presume Library Mode) with settings already applied. The companion JPEG comes in with the setting 'zeroed'. Why is this and can these 'default' settings be changed? If they can be changed, where do I do this?
If I import a combination of DNG and JPG from my camera card, which setting should I use? A DNG with Zeroed develop settings looks flat as you might expect. This is not a bad thing and for me often makes a good starting point.
