images appear darker than cs3

i have a laptop and 2 desktops. For some strange reason, one of my desktops is acting real funny! When I open images in LR they are much darker than the same image opened in cs3 to edit. As for printing, the image is correct in cs3. I have all 3 computers set up the same. Can anyone help???

Hi kvicta, welcome to the forum!

I'd go with Mark's suggestion too, as a first port of call. If you search for 'corrupted monitor profile' you'll find a lot more threads here on the same subject, as it's one the crops up regularly.

ok. i saved the same image in lr and saved it from cs3. when looking on my screen, the lr image is much more saturated. I printed both images and they appear like the image in cs3 (which is less saturated). any ideas on how to fix this? what should my settings be on lr? it seems the problem is in lr not my monitor. please help???

No need to start a new thread for your continued problem. I have merged this with the other thread.

Now, did you try changing your video profile. This is a first place to test. CS3 and LR do not show images in the monitor by the same means.

Until you deal with that test we can not help you further.

Don,

I'm not really computer literate..lol..how do I change the video profile. my husband said on the desktop that I'm having problems on my video card is a Dvi...would that make a difference?
