Hi all , sorry me again, boy your all going to be sorry I found this forum....
My problem is that I am happy with the colour on my original files as its displayed in light room but when I open a image a colour ajustment is made with a cyan shift. I havent to my knowledge installed any presets, does any one Know what im on about?
Thanks

Manfred, I'm not sure I understand your terminology. What's the difference between 'my original files as displayed' and 'when I open an image'. Generally, those are understood to be the same thing.

No, we're not going to be sorry. The forum thrives on questions.

Your mention of "Cyan Shift" suggests a badly uncalibrated monitor. LR is a color managed application and works best if you use software and hardware to calibrate your monitor. Are you doing this?

thanks Brad, what I meant was the image displayed in my thumbnails I was happy with but when i opened the image to ajust, the colour shifted away from the warmth to the cyan.

Maybe the other reply is on the mark as I am about to have my moniter callibrated.
This could be the problem?
thanks for your help.
Manfred

Is it possible that Manfred is describing the relationship between the embedded preview and LR's rendering? Manfred, are you saying that if you go back and forth between Library and Develop you can see the difference, or does the shift happen only the first time you go into Develop, or at some other time?

I think Mark be on to the answer. Manfred is using Nikon and they shift quite significantly towards cyan with the Adobe Standard profile in my experience. I would suggest trying the Camera Standard profile instead to see if that helps. There are also a couple of new Beta profiles available for the D3 & D7'' from Adobe Labs.

I use my own profiles for my D3'' and D7'' which your welcome to download from my website blog.

Hi Nik, THANK YOU, I downloaded ur presets today..gee Im clever now..lol
