Hello, can you offers some advice on a back up process. I currently store my images on my iomega drive (with individual folders copied to DVD for long offsite storage) I would like to make a copy/back of my image files to my other drive , once a month or so, I started just copy and pasting the whole folder and then deleting the previous version. This however takes quite a while to copy, is there a way of just copying the files that have changed or been added? Thank you.

Oh, I use time machine for backing up my mac book to the iomega (excluding LR which I do manually).

Thanks Victoria, I'll take a look.

Carbon Copy Cloner can be used for backups and hard disk synchronization. It also has a scheduler that can perform the operation unattended. Is once a month enough? How much will you lose if Iomega fails on the 29th day? With scheduled synchronization, you could run it every day and not even notice.

Jim, I'm sure you're right once a month will not be enough. I need to get organised. I hadn't realised there was such a variety of programs out there to do it! IT is not my strong point. I love LR though as it is so organised.

For Archiving purposes the new Drobo looks quite impressive. Would be good to see it in action with LR
