Hi all, this is my first post. I am new to LR I use version 2.3.

I see LR allows one to add the ID plate for printing, can I add copyright watermark data across the middle of a file or can I only add this at print mode.

Can anyone tell me why my prints come out dark using LR unless I increase the brightness by at least 2'%. I am set printing to printer Epson R2'' with colour management disabled.

LR is most interesting, I would like to thank admin for the 2.3 upgrade that has cured my lock up problem I had with 2.2.

Regards

Roy.

Hi Roy, welcome to the forum!

I'll leave the print question to someone else, but let me address your watermark issue. Are you hoping to add the watermark while exporting, rather than printing? If so, take a look at LR2/Mogrify which offers much greater flexibility for watermarking.

Roy, re: the printing problem, with color management in the printer disabled, are you using the correct printer profiles associated with the printer/paper/ink combination, in Lightroom's color management panel?

  1. Brad, think I have done all you mention. When I use CS3 for printing I have colour management enabled I don't have a problem. I have not been using LR very long, I have LR2 tutorial DVD but that does not cover printing. I purchased Scott Kellby LR2 book and I must say that is a dream to follow. I like the print features in LR but I guess I must have something set incorrect. Perhaps I need to reinstal the printer driver, many thanks for your help but I guess its back to the drawing board at the moment. I don't think I have a problem with my monitor calibration otherwise I would not be printing ok when I use PS. My friend has just purchased a Print Monkey which calibrates printer and monitor..most expensive piece of kit, he was having problems with printing...seems to be a quite an issue this printing from what I have read.
  2. Many thanks again
  3. Roy.
