Identity Plate Bug

So,

i got an open catalog, set up and save a new identity plate. It appear in my drop down menu as saved. But when i create a new catalog, lightroom complete desapear with the personal saved identity plates.

anyone having the same issue?

Hi henriqueribas, welcome to the forum!

I'm sorry to say that's not a bug - the ID plates aren't global - they're created on a per-catalog basis and stored in the catalog.

Do you often create new catalogs? Ideally you're best off sticking to one or two catalogs (there's long threads on that subject!) if you can.

thanx for your reply.
It's great to know that i'm doing anything wrong.
I just find a way to use the text id plate created on another catalog in the new created catalog.

On the actual catalog, create your text id plate, go to web module and export the project.
At the exported directory, find an image called logo.png.
So, that's an image from the text id plate created.
Place it on a IDPLATE directory that you can find it in the future, and in the new catalog, create the new idplate and finally find this PNG image.

Sounds like a plan. Or if you do it regularly, set up a blank catalog with all of your favourite settings, and just duplicate it each time you want a new catalog.
