Identifiying Procssed Files?

Is there a better way to identify files with PP work done on it besides the '+/-' icon bottom left of the thumbnail in the Library Mode?

I may have a whole bunch of files imported but more then often I do not have the time to PP all of them the same day. More then often I Pp them whenever I get some time away from my domestic duties and when the kids are in bed. So sometimes it's 1 or 2 files one night, another the next and so on.

Is there also an easier way of marking files that have potential and I do not want to delete and possibly go back later to pp?

I don't know of any way of selecting files based on the +/- icon. I flag my processed file as Green. I can then select/search for all files that are Green (Processed) or NOT Green (un-Processed). You could also tag them with a 'Processed' keyword.

You can do a Smart Collection filtering for 'Has Adjustments', True or False.

You can additionally add in the smart collection filtering for "cropped" to find those photos that you have or have not cropped / rotated.

This does not work for me Don, seems to be broken.

I do not save to xmp, so any image with changed meta has a +.

If i select 'has adjustements' 'false' i get 18'' images filtered out of a 68'', but none of them have any metadata to be saved?

If i select 'has adjustements' 'true' i get the other 5''' images filtered out of a 68'', but none of them have any metadata to be saved either?

Now, conceivable i don't have any images with the +, as i did a big back up last night. But then, the 'false' filter should be '. In fact, there is only one group of images, about 2', that have the + and whether i choose 'true' or 'false' they are never included in the filter.

First step in the history panel is "Import date-time". This filter will act upon images that have only this history step (false) or more (true). Metadata being up to date or not is not related.

Well then this is not really a filter for what the starter of this topic is asking.

Now you have clarified something. Every one of 18'' images of mine in the 'false' filter has no history. Well for me, that's mainly because they are VC, tiffs, or Edited in external application. Yes, if i change it to 'true' then 5''' have a history, but that still does not tell me what images need metadata to saved to xmp.

This is only a filter for whether or not any develop changes (not any metadata changes) has been made to an image.

What Pat, and many others, and myself have asked for, is a way to view the images that have had any metadata changes made, that have not been saved to file. The +.

I just did it with a Library Filter: Text "Searchable Metadata" - "Contains" or "Doesn't contain" - "Up to date" as search words. Those words are from the "Metadata Status" in the right panel...

This seems broken.

If i look manually at every image in my library, with the painstaking slow scrolling while waiting for rendering etc only about 2' images have the down arrow.

In smart collections you can simply "collect" those photos with no "adjustments" and with no "crop"
