I have CR2 pics in a folder and have iPhone pics in another (outside LR on hard drive) and have added both to corresponding LR folders. However some CR2 Canon pics do not have GPS but the iPhone pics do. iPhone pics are mostly .DNG and some .HEIC and few .jpg's.

Im thinking I wold like to add the iPhone LR pics to the CR2 folder so its easier to copy GPS location and work in sequence as to when the pictures were taken.

Is it a simple select and drag and drop from one folder on to the other? When I go to do this , I get the below message.

Is this going to move the files on the hard drive too?

Ive forgotten some of the basics..... Tks!

Solution
Yes, it is that simple and a Lightroom “MOVE” operation uses the Filesystem MOVE command, so of course any thing you do inside Lightroom will happen in the Filesystem too.
