8.3.1

When selecting "Other" as opposed to "Managed by Printer," ICC profiles formerly available are missing after upgrade to 8.3. LR freezes requiring use of task manager to end. Ideas? Solutions? Thanks in advance.

@hman

The ICC profiles are part of the Color Management System (CMS) in the OS so it's likely that your problem is with one of the profiles already on your system.

Does Lightroom successfully open the "Choose Profile" dialog? If so try unchecking all profiles and see you can then close the dialog.

If Lightroom hangs when it tries to open the dialog then you will have to look into the various standard folders where profiles are stored. Unfortunately I do not know what these are on Windows so you will have to do some research or someone else here might add that information.

on Windows, ICC profiles are located in %SystemDrive%\System32\spool\drivers\color
(Usually C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color)

With assistance from Face Book Lightroom Help Group, I realized that my second monitor was still alive and that the popup was on the second monitor. Turning that off allowed the popup. LR could not do anything while popup was the focus. Thanks, all!
