I see from searching that many people are having/have had similar issues to me when printing from Lr. (darker prints than appear on-screen)
I have recently moved from a Windows environment (running Lr 1.3) over to Macs (Lr 2.4), so am also bang in the middle of a rather steep (but as Victoria puts it...) enjoyable learning curve!
I am experiencing dark prints from within Lr so I've been through many of the threads here. It would seem that I should concentrate my efforts on my printer profiles.
I'm using a Mitsubishi 955'DW Dye-sub printer - and have installed three ICC profiles that were supplied by the company from which I purchased the printer.
Question 1: Are the profiles that were supplied with the printer OK for both Windows & Macs? (don't laugh!)
Question 2: Using the ColorSync Utility, I ran a "Verify" scan on the profiles and it came back with these errors:-
~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/SI955'fine.icm
Tag 'desc': Tag size is not correct.
Tag 'DEVD': Tag reserved field is not zero.
Tag 'DEVS': Tag reserved field is not zero.
~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/SI955'finedeep.icm
Tag 'desc': Tag size is not correct.
Tag 'DEVD': Tag reserved field is not zero.
Tag 'DEVS': Tag reserved field is not zero.
~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/SI955'superfine.icm
Tag 'desc': Tag size is not correct.
Tag 'DEVD': Tag reserved field is not zero.
Tag 'DEVS': Tag reserved field is not zero.
Are these errors anything to be concerned about? ... and if I run a "Repair" instead is it likely to fix these issues without causing any further problems?
Thanks for your (continued) help.
