icc profile names modified

I have added some Hahnemuehle icc profiles in Library/ Coloursync/ Profiles/ and they all show up - the curious thing is that two of them have had 'x' added to the beginning of their file name when viewed in LR e.g. HFA_HP918'_FineArtPearl shows in LR as xHFA_HP918'_FineArtPearl. There is no evidence of the 'x' in the Finder.

Does anybody have any thoughts as to why this is occurring?

Right click on it in Finder and open it in ColorSync Utility. Scroll down to Description or Localized Description Strings and see what it says in there. The 'names' of the profiles can be different from the filenames - I've done it on purpose in the past, to make them more easily identifiable.

May I presume that I can just edit the profile descriptive text for myself in coloursync utility without causing any problem?

I had noticed that when you go to options in the LR printer profile list that there are 2 columns. As the filename in the right-hand column was correct I had begun to suspect that there must be something in the profile but I had given up on getting such a clear answer. Thank you.
