I Made a Lightroom Camera Calibration Preset for D2''.

especially for SRGB I Mode and Portrait Picture.

Can you find out what picture is converted from Nikon NX and LR?

The top one seems to have a very slight green cast on the face but I don't know which is which.

They're a pretty close match - shows that you can't categorically say that the manufacturer's own software always works best with the files. Nice job! Care to share your settings for any other D2'' users to try?

Hmm, I don't see that at all.

For my further edification, are you comparing in a browser window, or downloading the files, and using a color managed app to view?

The comparison was made in Firefox. Looking again this morning I've the thread open in two tabs. Right clicking and selecting View Image on the first photo in tab 1 and the second photo in tab 2 I can switch between the two and clearly see differences. Downloading them, they are both sRGB and the differences are still evident.

I've tried it in Safari (Win Beta) which _is_ colour managed but it locks up on me :frown:

Ok, no discernible difference in Opera (my default). I don't use Safari(PC) or Firefox. I do see the greenish difference in IE7, more in the Van Gogh background, and the wallpaper background, than in the face. But it takes an A/B comparison as you said.

I'll keep in mind the Opera display thing going forward.....

Sorry . I couldn't explain exactly about this post.

I converted that photo with Lightroom, and Nikon NX

The test was Lightroom Preset that I made for NIKON DSLR exactly "Looks Like" with Nikon NX.

because Lightroom default Color does not same with Nikon NX. so I have to make Lightroom Preset to "Match" Lightroom and NIkon NX

and If you can't fine difference It Works good. Thanks all

I have some Preset for Canon 5D, And Fuji S5Pro And It works lilke this Preset.

If I fixed some difference I can share you all

The second image is the Nikon conversion.

While both images are VERY close and for most purposes very few would know the difference I believe the LR conversion to be superior.
Visually it is a touch warmer and has a better range of shadow tones judging from the histogram.
At this point I wouldn't pursue a closer match to the Nikon conversion

A very good preset, I am sure there would be some grateful people if you would care to share it. You will inspire others as well!!
Thanks;);):lol::lol:

Would it be the same preset for my D8'? If so is there a way I could get a copy?
Thanks
No, it would not be the same as all the cameras vary, even within models. However it would probably be a useful starting point that could be fine tuned.

AND Now I fixed some Colors (More warmer and saturated a little bit than Nikon NX)

If you want to receive My Preset. Send me a E-mail

Posting your e-mail address in a public Forum is not a good idea. SPAM bots will grab that in a heartbeat. You should either post your file here, or use the built-in vBulletin e-mail system. Either way, your e-mail address is kept from the prying eyes of the SPAM bots. Alternatively, you could use the PM system here.

was anybody ever able to get this preset? i sure could use it... i've got a ton of NEF files that aren't looking right.

Hi,

It is nice that people make presets but are you also willing to share how you made your preset?
At the moment I'm looking for a workflow to make my own preset. Also friends of mine haven't got a Nikon D2'' but a D8' and they are looking also for a preset.

It would be nice to share this knowlegde with the rest of us.

Kind regards from a junior:)
