ok, here goes but be warned i'm no expert and the whole sharpening is another world of topics as i've discovered so if you want to get into detail this is not for you as its just basic but at least its automated

i'm using PS CS3 just in case things aren't exactly the same as your version.
open PS
click on 'window' at the top and choose 'actions'
open up ANY photo just for a test run
at the bottom of the actions window is a little 'record' button.
click on that (you are now recording an action so EVERYTHING you click on will b recorded.)
click on 'filter' at the top and choose sharpen
add your level of sharpening you want
your action is now recorded and you can push the 'stop' button on the bottom of the actions panel.
by playing around with the actions panel you can automate A LOT of your work which is great if your going to process hundreds of images.
i think the sharpening in PS is really good but the option in LR is adequate and its all automatic too, but maybe thats just me.
