How to see my photos again in external drive?

hello friends

thanks for your help ,here is my question ;
if I import my photo from external drive but I delete these folders from my catalog (6''' images) how can I see them again in the HD
,they are there but when I search in order to import I can´t see them ,LR doesn´t show me them. why? how can I see them again?

An example

for example I import some images from my own laptop (Iphoto) with something like "copy from their current location and import without moving" text (can´t remember exactly what it says). then few days after I delete this folder in LR but I can´t see the file in Iphoto (mac) do you know what happen?

If you selected delete from disk, you have wiped them from the drive. Obviously iPhoto can no longer find them because they are gone. The dialog for Delete is quite clear about the fact that the files are being deleted.
In future, use Remove rather than Delete from Disk.

Actually, I've a question, because I may be missing something.
When you say you Import at current location, that means that you are leaving the files on the Laptop, so iPhoto on the desktop won't see these photos anyway. Are they still on the Laptop?
