How to reimport photos accidentally deleted from a folder

I accidentally deleted all the photos in one folder (in LR 6). I can still see the images in a new folder which has appeared, but can't edit them and get a message saying the original file can't be found. I still have the images on my camera's SD card, but can't work out how to reimport them. Can someone please help?

Manually copy the images from that SD card to the folder on your disk where Lightroom thinks they are. That should be all.
