How to mass update email address in metadata

Hello,

I need to update my email address in the contact section of the metadata. I'm on LR Version 2.5.
Several thousand photos are involved, spread accross a number year folders and their month and date sub folders.

Is there any way I can update them all at once? I've tried several searches but couldn't find a solution to that specifically. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

The <Sync Metadata> button at the bottom of the right panel will get you what you need. If you have an image that has the correct email address, select it as the 'most selected' and al the other images that need changing. Click the <Sync Metadata> button and in the dialog indow that pops up check only the Creator Email box in the IPTC Creator Section of the dialog then click Synchronize.

From personal experience I would avoid trying to update ALL your files in one go. It really depends on you system capabilities. With my rather slow system I would only go up to 1''' photos at a time.

Thanks clee''1 and Mark! That is working perfectly. I'm just doing one month at a time to ensure there are no problems. It only takes about 5 to 1' seconds to do 5 or 6 hundred of them.

I should have realized that the sync metadata would work something like syncing the develop settings in that module ...by just checking the elements one wants to sync. Thanks for opening my eyes to that.
