I was watching an Anthony Morganti video about B&W processing in LR Classic, posted in the LR Virtual Summit earlier this year, and saw that he repeatedly magnified the particular develop panel he was using at a given time. It helped the viewer see what he was doing, and it would help my old eyes to do for my own editing. How is this done?

It’s done through the OS, not through Lightroom. I don’t know what OS he used, but MacOS has such a feature and I assume Windows has it too. If not then you can probably do it using a special utility. And if the presentation was not live, then it could have been done in the presentation software.
